NINETEENTH ANNUAL
CANE RIDGE RESTORATION LECTURESHIP
Theme: "The Unity of the Spirit"
Just before His death on the cross, Jesus prayed a most impressive prayer. At a time of great personal stress and need, His request was not for Himself, but for His disciples. The specific request was that all His followers would be one, or united. John 17:20-21 says, "Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word; that they may all be one." This points out the tremendous importance of unity.
This year's lectureship revolves around the theme "THE UNITY OF THE SPIRIT." Another great Biblical text of unity is Ephesians 4, the foundation for the topics throughout this special series. The great "ones" of this section of scripture provide the emphasis.
The evening sessions along with Sunday morning periods will be lessons about unity and the one body, one Lord and one faith. Lessons during the day continue along the lines of these "ones."
A highlight of each year's lectureship is the Friday afternoon guided tours of Restoration sites. This year, two chartered buses have been reserved. We will be going to Harrodsburg, Kentucky and spend the afternoon touring the different sites in that area.
On Saturday afternoon there will be a special ladies' class. As usual, the pinnacle of the entire period will be the Sunday afternoon session at the Cane Ridge Meeting House in Bourbon County.
Please join us at the NINETEENTH ANNUAL CANE RIDGE LECTURESHIP.
