All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned everyone to his own way. This universal weakness in man was the need Jesus came to address in Luke 19:10, "For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost." After His death, burial and resurrection, Jesus ascended to Heaven where God put all things in subjection to Him and made Him head of the church. Jesus then gave the church an important responsibility. We are to continue what He began. The central part of the work of the church is to continue to seek and to save the lost.

This year's lectureship will revolve around the importance of evangelism. The evening and Sunday morning speakers will discuss everything from the need of salvation from sin to a focus on the cross, Christ and the church. Practical instruction in "Friendship Evangelism" will be provided along with information about local campaigns and foreign missions. Several speakers will emphasize the role of evangelism in restoration history. In addition, we will continue the guided restoration tours which have highlighted past programs.

This marks the fifteenth year that the North Lexington church of Christ has sponsored the Cane Ridge Restoration Lectureship. We believe that these outstanding speakers discussing very relevant topics will encourage and edify everyone. We extend a warm invitation for you to come and spend this time with us at the 1995 Cane Ridge Restoration Lectureship.
