SIXTEENTH ANNUAL
CANE RIDGE RESTORATION LECTURESHIP
Scheduled for August 1-4, 1996

1996 Theme: "Go Ye Into All the World"

Nearly two thousand years ago, Jesus chose to take time immediately prior to His ascension back into heaven to give the "Great Commission". Mark 16:15-16 tells us, "And He said unto them, Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to the whole creation. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that disbelieveth shall be condemned." The early church took this task seriously and preached the Gospel throughout the world in about thirty years. Colossians 1:23 says the Gospel "was preached in all creation under heaven; whereof I, Paul was made a minister."

This year's lectureship will revolve around going into all the world. Topics will include everything from "Why Do We Go?" to "Restoration and the Great Commission". Evangelism is the lifeline of the Restoration principle, and it is the lifeline of the church. Biblical, practical instruction in this area will be the focus during this lectureship.

To focus upon the twenty-sixth year of the North Lexington Congregation, we are incorporating a special homecoming into the lectureship. Members who have gone into all parts of the United States and the world are invited to come back and share this time together. We are looking forward to the renewal of many old friendships in Christ.

This will be the sixteenth year that the North Lexington church of Christ has sponsored the Cane Ridge Restoration Lectureship. These are outstanding speakers who will discuss very important, relevant topics. We extend a warm, cordial invitation for you to come, spend this time with us and enjoy a Biblical, spiritual feast at the 1996 Cane Ridge Restoration Lectureship and Homecoming.
