Primordia of Successional Teeth

The primordia of the successional teeth arise from an offshoot of the dental lamina during the bell stage development of the deciduous teeth. In this image, the primor-dium of a permanent incisor (A) is arising lingual to the deciduous incisor (B). The dental lamina for the successional dental organ is still visible as a thin line (C).
