Jacob Case
Jacob has been in the Comparative Cognition Lab since 2013. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Kentucky working in the Comparative Cognition Lab. Jacob has been working on several projects including near hit research, the effect of losing but getting close to winning. Although in humans, the appearance of near hit events is mildly reinforcing and makes them want to gamble more, pigeons find near hit trials somewhat aversive. Jacob has also been involved in research on delayed matching to sample and studied the role of delay of reinforcement for attention to the sample.
