Progression of Tooth Development

This diagram shows the typical progression of tooth development from anterior to posterior in the upper (maxillary) dental arch. In the region of the developing 1st permanent molar, the dental lamina becomes dettached from the oral epithelium and progresses post-eriorly as an epithelial cord (A).
