Campus Activities

Research activities of the Center for Research on Violence Against Women impact the University of Kentucky’s campus as well as more broadly focused projects addressing such populations as battered women, high schoolers, or sex trafficking victims.

Beginning in 2010, CRVAW researchers began evaluating the impact of a bystander intervention program on UK’s campus designed to prevent sexual violence. Currently, our faculty are engaged in two major projects on campus – one which assesses campus climate and students’ adverse experiences (Campus Attitudes Toward Safety – C.A.T.S.) and one which evaluates the effectiveness of different modalities and combinations of these modalities designed to prevent sexual violence that are presented to freshmen (ConnectED).
