April 2021: We welcome Sami Case to the team. He has been working with us on/ off for about a year now but officially joined our lab recently

August 2022: Hilaree has accepted a second postdoctoral position with Dr. Van Eldik in the Sanders Brown Center on Aging. We say good bye after 7 years with a Local Taco lunch and a drink.
April 2023: Dr. Sami L. Case successfully defends his work investigating Calcium-related changes in S1 neurons of the aging C57Bl6/J mouse, so we went to Le Deauville to celebrate! We also take this opportunity to welcome Nicholas Wright (Research Analyst) and Sophiya Sims (Graduate Student) to the lab.
August 2023: We welcome Leopoldine Galopin to the lab since Jackie moved to Portland! Ruei-Lung, Leo, Olivier, Sohiya and Nicholas from left to right. Oh, and thanks to RL for the cool evil special effects anime glasses where I learned about my eigth-grader syndrome and Miku!
October 2023: The gang went to lunch to thank Katie Pauss (rotating IBS student) for spending time in our lab.
June 2024: We are happy to welcome Dr. Ting-Hsuan Lu, a new postdoc who will help with overexpression of insulin receptors on astrocytes, and who will begin efforts developing a new nanosensor. We are also happy to have a summer research fellow in the lab, Mr. Tesfamichael Hailu, who comes through the Diabetes and Obesity Research Priority Area.
