"I am in a family of stringed instruments," thought the little violin. "What a fortunate instrument I am!"

But then she remembered. The piano has said that she had other cousins in the orchestra, that there were other families of instruments. In a quiet voice the violin asked, "Mr. Piano, who are my cousins?"

"Now that is a fine question," said the piano. "There are three other families in the orchestra: the woodwinds, the brass, and the percussion. Would you like to meet your cousins in the woodwind family?"

"Oh, yes!" squealed the little violin.
