Incremental Lines of Retzius

In this image taken near the cervical region of the crown, lines of Retzius (A) pass obliquely from the D-E junction (B) to the enamel surface. The enamel rods run to the enamel surface in an almost perpendicular trajectory from the D-E junction, crossed obliquely by the lines of Retzius. These lines indicate a pause or interruption in the deposition of enamel. What is a similar feature seen in dentin? (look at C to check your answer).
