Branching of Odontoblast Processes

Many fine branches of the odontoblast processes (A) can be observed in this preparation, especially in the mantle dentin (B) just under the enamel (C) at the DEJ. Lateral extensions of dentinal tubules (D), with or without a branch of the odontoblast process within them, occur at intervals of 1 to 2 µm along their length.
