Salivary Gland Duct System

Intercalated ducts drain into secretory or striated ducts. To the lower left of center of the field, an intercalated duct (A) joins a secretory duct (B). Intercalated ducts are composed of a simple high squamous to low cuboidal epithelium while secretory ducts are composed of simple columnar epithelium (low to high columnar cells).
