Custodial
The mission of the Custodial Services Department is to provide a clean, safe and attractive environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors of the University. The Department provides routine cleaning and custodial care for 145 academic, office and recreational buildings on campus. These buildings represent more than 4.4 million square feet of net cleanable area. Our 170 employees have schedules and are assigned areas under the direction of 11 Supervisors. Common areas such as classrooms, restrooms, lobbies, teaching labs and conference rooms are cleaned daily. Private offices are cleaned weekly. Annual tasks such as carpet cleaning and waxing floors are scheduled throughout the year by our in house staff.
