Comparative Cognition Laboratory

Science Dogs

We are exploring the cognitive abilities of our canine friends. The goal is to define, measure, and distinguish dog behaviors. In the past it has been believed that the associations dogs make are based on either a positive or negative outcome. We are attempting to document the occurence of more complex cognitive abilities through a variety of situations.

Our dogs come from all over the lexington area, often being volunteers from the public. Below are some of the dogs that have participated in the past. If you have a friendly and outgoing dog that you would like to participate contact our labs by phone (859) 257-8034 or email Holly.Miller@uky.edu or Kristina.Pattison@uky.edu.
