Welcome to meta|morphosis: microfilm-to-digital lecture series
In 2005, the National Endowment for the Humanities together with the Library of Congress launched the National Digital Newspaper Program (NDNP) to provide digital access to United States newspapers published between 1836 and 1922. A year later, the University of Kentucky Libraries developed meta|morphosis: a university of kentucky microfilm-to-digital institute to prepare non-NDNP states for inclusion in, and digitization beyond, NDNP.
In 2012, UK, NEH, and LC partnered to bring the meta|morphosis lectures to anyone around the globe with internet access. Through self-paced video tutorials, quizzes, and other resources, you'll learn how to...

Who Should Participate?
meta|morphosis is designed for libraries, archives, historical societies, museums, or anyone with an interest in historic newspapers, microfilm, and digitization technology. The tutorials are designed for all levels of learning with a concentration on the NDNP specification.
