These files are saved as Rich Text Format (RTF) files. When you click on them, they will not display in your browser. Instead, they will download to your hard drive. RTF files are ASCII text files that retain basic formatting that is common to most word processors. To open a file, simply start your word processor. From your File menu, choose Open... and select the appropriate file. If you are not sure where the file is once it downloads, use your Find function and enter the file name (for instance, lecture1.rtf, midtermreview.rtf, etc.).
NEW MESSAGE -- 11/13/02 Hello, folks ญญ Mark Denomme retransmitted the .ppt file of the Gene Williams presentation, but again it was a bust. However, he did send along a Quicktime movie of the slides and that works fine for our purposes. However, it is about a 4MB file. Here's the link to view it: Williams ERP Presentation
FINAL EXAM MATERIAL
Hi, folks. There isn't a lot of studying you have to do for the final exam. With a week of group presentations, a guest speaker, and our discussion of case studies taking up a fair amount of second half of the semester, there are only two chapters from your textbook that you will have to review, and you had RIFs on both of them so they should be pretty familiar to you already. The chapters are:
Chapter 8: Products for e-Commerce Intelligence
Chapter 10: Information Privacy and Systems Security Issues for e-Commerce Environments
You will also have one of the case studies we discussed in class attached to the test. It will be your task to fully address the questions of the case study. Remember that you don't have to review the Enterprise Computer Testing, Inc. case or the United Radiology case. Neither of those will appear on the test.
