Oct. 10 |
Turn in a plan for the work
involved in studying the selected topic.
The plan should include (1) a list of activities, (2) a time estimate
for each activity, and (3) an outline of the sections in a report summarizing
the findings of your investigation. (5

Oct. 31 |
Turn in a first draft your
report. (5 points) |

Dec. 10/12 |
Present your work to the
class (about 30 minutes). (10 points) Your presentation will be
graded as follows: -
Understanding of subject matter -
Use of visuals -
Speaking volume, clarity, and pace -
Eye contact -
Response to questions |

Dec. 12 |
Turn in a printed copy of
the report (~15 to 20 pages, typed, double-spaced, including figures, tables,
etc.). (10 points) Your report will be graded
as follows: -
Topic relevance -
Clear statement of purpose - Topic coverage - Well-founded conclusion -
Thoroughness -
Quality of the report (organization, clarity, neatness) |
