Assignment 1

Due: February 18, 2004 at 4:30pm

Read the case description of Mountain View Community Hospital on pages 32, 125, and 160. Then complete the following tasks:

1.      Project questions 1 and 2 on page 32.

2.      Develop an ER diagram reflecting the data contained in the Patient Bill shown on page 33.

3.      Project exercise 2 on page 126.

4.      Project exercise 1 on page 160.

5.      Merge the three diagrams from tasks (2), (3) & (4) above into a single diagram.

Submission Options: 

  1. Turn in a printed copy of your answer, clearly labeled. 
  2. Turn in an electronic copy of your answer as a zip file via the digital dropbox.  Note: If you are using the data dictionary feature of BriefCASE to accompany your ER diagrams, you will need to turn in both the diagrams as well as the related data definitions.
