Todd Case was born in Pikeville and raised in Sidney, Kentucky. He attended Pikeville High School and graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1989 with a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Mr. Case owns and operates several companies in the Commonwealth, including Todd Case Trucking, which serves customers throughout the Tri-State Area in the transportation of bulk materials such as coal, gravel and sand; Case Dock, LLC, located in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, where it transports raw materials from trucks to barges on the Big Sandy River and then on to the US and international ports; Case Coal Sales, LLC, which sells coal domestically and internationally; North Star Operating Company, LLC, a coal mining, washing and railroad shipping operation located in Pike County, Kentucky; and Thoroughbred Aviation Maintenance, Inc., which provides maintenance for all commercial flights in Lexington and Huntington, West Virginia and provides maintenance services for multiple government, municipal and private aircraft owners throughout the Commonwealth and the US. Additionally, Thoroughbred Aviation maintains all aircraft in the Eastern Kentucky University pilot education program and assists Marshall University’s aviation program, as well.

Mr. Case is an active member of the Masons and Shriners where his goal is to support children’s needs. He served on the Board and as Chairman of the Board for Three Rivers Hospital and was appointed by the governor in 2010 to represent the state on the Kentucky Motor Carrier Advisory Committee.

Mr. Case is an active pilot and a member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, and the exclusive fraternity, the “Quiet Birdmen.” He resides in Louisa, Kentucky, with his wife, Pauletta, and has one daughter, Lindsey, who teaches aviation and finance at Lawrence County High School.
