Hannah Miner Myers
Hannah Miner Myers of Madisonville, Kentucky, graduated in 1994 with a bachelor’s degree in middle school education from the UK College of Education. She was president of the UK Alumni Association (UKAA) from 2020 to 2021 after serving on the board of directors. She received the UKAA Joseph T. Burch Young Alumni Award in 2004 and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2013 and was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority.
Myers has a bachelor’s degree in interior design and a double master’s degree in education and education administration. She served eight years on the Madisonville City Council, where she was the first female chairperson. She is in her third term on the Hopkins County Fiscal Court as a magistrate for District Seven and as the budget chairperson.
She is an active community member and received the Lions Club Women of the Year Award and the William Corum Community Service Citizen of the Year Award. She is a past Rotarian and a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and Immaculate Conception Church in Earlington, Kentucky. She has served as a member of the Community Foundation board, Baptist Health Foundation board, Economic Development Council, tourism board, past chairwoman of the Chamber of Commerce, and past president of the Cardinal Garden Club. Myers taught middle school for more than 15 years and served as an adjunct professor of education for Murray State University regional campus. She is a UK Alumni Association board member, Life Member, member of Women for Philanthropy, UK Fellow and is active with the Hopkins County UK Alumni Club. She is married to Bradley J. Myers.
