The purpose of this project is to get feedback from farmworker health outreach workers about the utility and efficacy of a handwashing educational toolkit designed for them to use to engage farmworkers in handwashing education. Additionally, in order to assess in future studies the impact of the toolkit on farmworkers’ handwashing practices, this project will explore the feasibility of hand wipe sampling among farmworkers as a measure of pesticide exposure.
Aim 1: To explore farmworker health outreach workers’ perceptions of the utility and efficacy of the handwashing educational toolkit for handwashing education with farmworkers.
Aim 2: To refine an instrument to assess the extent to which the handwashing educational toolkit impacts the knowledge, self-efficacy, and learner-centered practices of farmworker health outreach workers.To examine the feasibility of collecting hand wipe samples from farmworkers.
