Residence Hall Recycling

For students living in the residence halls or Grad Family Housing, follow these steps to recycle using our compactors:

1. Find out where the compactors are in your building (inside or outside your building).

Don't forget to bring your UKID!

2. Bag your recyclables in CLEAR bags. Cardboard can be put in the compactors loose. Unsure of what's recyclable? check out our flyer HERE.

3. Scan your UKID to unlock the compactor doors.

4. Toss recycling inside the BLUE compactor door beyond the ledge. Landfill goes inside the black door.

5. Close the door to activate the compaction process.

DO NOT:

Throw your bags OVER the compactor wall.

Set your bags IN FRONT of the compactor door.

Leave the bags inside your residence hall.
