Business analytic tools serve many disciplines both in and outside of business. This certificate builds a common analytics foundation that can easily augment Gatton’s professional MS and MBA programs as well as programs outside of Gatton. It assumes no prior knowledge of business or analytics. Students can then supplement the certificate with coursework within their discipline. Students completing this certificate will be capable of using analytics tools and models to analyze discipline specific problems and issues.
Business analytics is among the fastest growing areas of US employment, with an expected growth rate of greater than 15% through 2030.
Students may pursue careers as a Business Intelligence Analyst, Market Analyst, Data Analyst, and/or Visualization Specialist.
