Magnitude 3.4 earthquake near Dyersburg, Tennessee on November 6, 2009

A minor earthquake occurred at 12:12:39 AM (EST) on Friday, November 6, 2009 near Dyersburg, Tennessee.   The magnitude 3.4 earthquake occurred 9.7 kilometers (6.0 miles) underground.

The earthquake was recorded on instruments in the Kentucky Seismic and Strong-Motion Network, operated jointly by the Kentucky Geological Survey and the Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Kentucky.
