Random RNAi Screening for Negative Regulators of Drought Resistance in Arabidopsis
G. Tang
Department of Plant and Soil Sciences
Project Description
We have constructed our first random RNAi library in a small subcloning vector. This sub-library will be further transferred into binary vectors for genetic transformation. To be high throughput, the BAR gene selection marker will be used. The randomized small RNA population is under evaluation by randomly sequencing a few hundreds of clones. Further work is undergoing.
Impact
Randomized RNAi library for plant mutation will generate a novel population of mutants for functional genomics.
