Club Activities - The UD Animal Science Club tries to encompass all aspects of the animal science industry, from production agriculture to exotic animal care. We visit breeding operations for cattle and competition horses. Past trips have been to Philadelphia/Baltimore area zoos. Veterinarians come and give lectures on animal care techniques as well as tips on vet school admission procedures. Other activities include dog washes to raise money for local charities, work with Girl Scouts America and Girls Inc., as well as displays at our annual Ag Day carnival. Livestock shows are also conducted to familiarize students with large animals. We also try to send representatives to the Regional and National Block and Bridle Conventions.
