The Block & Bridle Officers and Advisors of the Tarleton State University Club met in mid-August to begin planning the year's activities. The old members met the first week of September to help plan for the Welcoming and Initiation activities for the new members. At the end of September, the club joined other agricultural organizations at the Tarleton Agriculture Council (TAC) Hamburger Cookout.
Homecoming took place in October where the club took part in Drum beating, Silver Bugle Hunt (placing second), and built a float for the Parade. The members also attended Tailgate Parties before all Football Home Games.
In November, club members assisted fellow members and college students in learning showmanship skills in preparation for Little International.
The Christmas Party was held at the Skating Rink and the club donated bears to the Student Government Association Teddy Bear Drive for kids in Foster Homes and other needy children in the Stephenville Community.
In the Spring, the Club held it's intramural Spring Judging Contest with the help of our Livestock Judging Team and Coaches.
A Golf Scramble was held to raise funds for the Spring Banquet and as a Community Service project the club members met children from the local Foster Home at the City Park and had a fun filled day with games, pizza, and ice cream.
Tarleton State University also attended Regional Tour and will be co-sponsoring the National Convention in Fort Worth in 1999.
