Summary of Activities:

Educational Speakers at every other business meeting.

Ag Watermelon Feed is a back-to-school event in which all organizations set up displays. Our first club meeting is always held following this event.

Fall Hamburger Fry gives existing members, faculty and new members a chance to become better acquainted every fall.

KSU Home Football Game Concession Stands were the clubÆs major fund-raisers this year. We brought in approximately $5000.

KSU Home Football Parking-parking cars, directing traffic and collecting money from parkers.

Ag Alumni Round-up is a reunion for alumni. The club serves a meal to the alum at a home football game.

Holiday Canned Food Drive-members were asked to bring a canned food item to meetings to donate to the needy in the area.

Midwest Training Schools are put on by our very talented livestock judging team members and B&B serves a noon meal for the youth.

Christmas Party is prior to final exams in the fall. The party has been growing in tradition and involves dancing, refreshments and a gag gift exchange.

Little American Royal Showmanship Contest sponsored by Block and Bridle and Dairy Science Club. This activity involves students from all academic backgrounds showing university livestock including beef, sheep, horses, dairy cattle and swine.

Block and Bridle Meats Judging Contest held every spring open for any one interested in participating.

Hat Sales is another favorite fundraiser. At various college and department activities throughout the school year, the club sells hats with the Animal Sciences and Industry logo and KSU brand.

CattlemenÆs Day-B&B traditionally serves coffee and doughnuts at this event which also gives members the chance to mingle with industry leaders.Ice Cream Social is held for our members following a business meeting in the spring.

National Block and Bridle Convention was held in Denver Colorado in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show in January. Seventeen K-State members went and got the chance to meet and exchange ideas with other B&B chapters.

Chapter Sweatshirt and Jacket Sales-every year the chapter has a sweatshirt or jacket for the members to purchase to promote agriculture and the club across campus and at other events.

B&B Outstanding Member Awards-at each meeting a member is selected that has gone above and beyond their ôcall of dutyö and is recognized at the spring banquet.

Rookie, Junior and Senior Merit Awards-at the end of the year the club selects a rookie, a junior and a senior to be honored by the club that has been a well-rounded and hard working member. This years rookie award went to Sally Jennings, the junior award to Amy Jones and the senior award to Becca Dikeman.
