For the third year we are studying the effects of SBR on soybeans in controlled environment chambers during the winter.  For this experiment we built a chamber where you can put in an entire trifoliolate leaf and measure leaf respiration using the LI-6400.

The photo above shows a leaf being sealed in the leaf chamber.

Respiration measurements are taken in a darkened growth chamber (see photo above).

This is an example of tan sporulating lesions on a susceptible plant.

This is an example of red brown non-sporulating lesions on a resistant plant.
