Mark Joseph O'Bryan President

Mr. O'Bryan was honored with the distinction of top ranking graduate at both Cornell University (Master of Architecture Degree) and the University of Kentucky (Bachelor of Architecture Degree). He was a student at the American Academy in Rome and has traveled extensively abroad. During his professional career he has worked as a designer for several architectural firms taking responsibility for completing buildings ranging from specialized institutional facilities to complex mixed use developments. Mark O'Bryan's unique synthesis of academic, artistic and professional experience brings to the firm a broad range of creative and managerial talents. For his design work he received many prestigious awards including; the American Academy in Rome/National Institute for Architectural Education Traveling Fellowship, the Skidmore, Owings and Merrill Travelling Fellowship in Architecture and Bearings Ten Best Architecture Faculty in North America. He received awards for national and international design competitions such as The Japan Architect and the American Tile Council. His architectural designs and paintings have been exhibited in such distinguished galleries and museums as The Art Institute of Chicago, The University of Toronto and Princeton University. Returning to his native Kentucky in 1989 Mr. O'Bryan opened his own office. He has focused his expertise on commercial, liturgical and residential design. He has completed many award winning commissions ranging from comprehensive renovation projects to extensive new private residences. His design renovation for the historic home owned by Julie and Bruce Besten received the 1996 Merit Award by the Anchorage Historic Preservation District Commission presented for excellence in design in the Renovation with Addition category. He is a member of the Anchorage Historic Preservation District Commission Advisory Council and the Holy Spirit Church Facilities Planning Commission. Mr. O'Bryan is also an Associate Professor at the University of Kentucky.
