GelBandFitter is a computer program that uses non-linear regression techniques to fit mathematical functions to densitometry profiles
of protein gels.This provides a better way of estimating relative protein content than conventional analysis techniques that require separating
protein bands (which are sometimes poorly resolved) into distinct regions of interest. GelBandFitter was developed in
Matlab and the source can be
downloaded
at no cost to academic users. A Windows
executable file
is also available.
