THIRUPATHI REDDY YERRAMREDDY,
MSc, PhD in Organic Chemistry

     I am Dr. Thirupathi Reddy Yerramreddy from Andhra Pradesh, India. I have received my M.Sc degree from S.V. University, Tirupati, India and Ph.D (December, 2001) in synthetic organic chemistry from National Institute of Technology (formerly REC & affiliated to Kakatiya University), Warangal, India. I had about 4 years industrial experience as a Research Scientist (Process Development of API\x92s ) in reputed pharamaceutical companies like AstraZeneca India Pvt Ltd, Bangalore; Ranbaxy Research Labs, Gurgaon, India and Aurobindo Pharma Research Centre, Hyderabad, India. I have developed commercially viable processes for number of Active Pharma Ingredients and two of them filed for process patents. I have more than 25 research publications in national and international journals.
     I am resently working as a post doctoral fellow at Dr. Crooks laboratory. My research work includes the design & synthesis of novel Indolylazabicyclic compounds as possible radiosensitizers, synthesis of arylideneamino-guanidine derivatives as NMDA Receptor Modulators for treating neurological diseases and disorders i.e., Epilepsy, Parkinson's, Alzheimer's and Huntington diseases and the synthesis of bone-targeting agents (Estrodiol derivatives) as potent agents for the treatment of Osteoporosis or for acceleration of fracture healing.
