science readiness program

the goal of the science readiness program is to provide a bridge between the high school classroom and the college lecture hall.

we start by giving college level lectures in high school science classrooms focusing on transition to the depth of class material and a principle of "no fear of questioning everything". post docs, graduate students and dr. debolt all contribute to these classes.

Students are recruited and perform research in the laboratory or in the field (depending on the season and the student preference) and shadow a phd student or post doctoral research associate. The research sometimes leads to research publications (see publications) and valuable experience for future careers in STEM. we do not have to come to your high school to get involved.
